Argument
The optional class curriculum ”I’m a Super Chef”,
for Grade 6 – English – first foreign language, aims to develop in the students
new competencies which will lead to language acquisitions specific for level
A2+ at the end of gymnasium cycle.
This
optional course has been created at the request of the students and to answer
their needs for the 6th grade, and it is correlated with the
training profile for the students graduating 8th grade.

the activities proposed in it (online research, watching thematic videos,
discussions on the proposed themes, photo/video recordings, preparing certain
food recipes, making virtual restaurants – website, promotions, advertising,
posters, etc. – making e-books with menus, cook books, bilingual dictionary of
terms used in the food processing in the kitchen, researching the ways of
recycling foods and old kitchen utensils into artistic objects, writing
articles for the class blog, establishing the Netiquette rules and the kitchen
safety rules to be observed, etc.), this optional proposes to develop
knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for the 21st century
youth. These knowledge, skills and attitudes can be found in the European Key
